Incheon Airport runs around the clock, but not everything inside it does. If you land after midnight or fly out before sunrise, the real question is what is open at that hour. We read the airport’s own facility, transport and rules pages and put them side by side.

πŸ“‹ The short answer
βœ“ Need a bed inside the airport? Both terminals list a Transit Hotel and a Capsule Hotel (Darakhyu), open 24 hours
βœ“ Just need a quiet seat? Free NAP, relax and lounge zones are listed on the 4th floor, open 24 hours
βœ“ Last train to Seoul: AREX Express leaves Terminal 1 at 22:48 (Terminal 2 at 22:40). After that, take a night bus
βœ“ Layover of 24 hours or less? Ask about the Transit Tour. 24 to 72 hours? Look at K-Stopover

Sleeping inside the airport

The official airport facility list shows these options. It does not show prices or booking steps, so we do not quote prices here. Call the number listed or ask at an information desk.

πŸ“Œ The official list does not say which of these are inside or outside the secure area. A third-party airport guide says the capsule hotel is outside the secure area, but we could not confirm that on an official page. If you are transferring and have not entered Korea, ask before you plan around it.
🏨

Hotels outside the terminal

The airport’s FAQ page lists nearby hotels with phone numbers. At least one entry says it offers a free shuttle from the terminals, from Gate 3C at Terminal 1 and Gate 2A at Terminal 2 on the first floor, every 30 minutes. The page is undated and looks old, so confirm the shuttle schedule with the hotel before you land.

The shuttle stops at 23:00, so after that use the railroad if it is still running or a night bus. These two airport pages are undated.

Getting to Seoul at night

Trains: the AREX operator’s express table shows the first train from Terminal 2 at 05:16 and Terminal 1 at 05:24, reaching Seoul Station at 06:07. The last express leaves Terminal 2 at 22:40 and Terminal 1 at 22:48, arriving at Seoul Station at 23:31. In the other direction, the first express leaves Seoul Station at 06:00 and the last at 23:00. The operator’s page has no effective date, so check the day you travel.

Layover rules you should know

Transit Tour (layover of 24 hours or less): bring your passport and both boarding passes. Only one entry per visit is allowed. Some travelers may still need a K-ETA, so check the official K-ETA site for your passport.

K-Stopover (24 to 72 hours): the airport page says one hotel night is included and extra nights are charged per room. Apply through k-stopover.com. Desks are open 07:00–18:00, at Terminal 1 between exits 1 and 2 (desks 19–20) and at Terminal 2 near exit 3.

Luggage storage: a 2024 airport notice lists storage counters at Terminal 1 (1F East near Gate 2, 1F West near Gate 13, 07:00–21:00; 3F near check-in B and N, 07:00–22:00) and Terminal 2 (3F East near H, open 24 hours; B1 East end, 07:00–21:00). Hours can vary, and no fee is stated.

⏰

Which plan fits your arrival time?

Your situationWhat to look at
Land after 23:00 and just need to sleepTransit Hotel or capsule hotel (call first), or a free NAP zone on 4F
Land before the first train (about 05:16–05:24)Rest zone and shower (05:00 onward), then AREX Express
Flying out before 06:00Night bus to the airport from Seoul, or stay at an airport hotel the night before
Layover of 24 hours or lessTransit Tour, then a city trip if time allows
Stopover of 24–72 hoursK-Stopover desk, or an Incheon or Seoul hotel
βœ…

Bottom line

Bed inside the airport: Transit Hotel or capsule hotel, both open 24 hours. Free and quick: a NAP zone on the 4th floor. Real bed with a shuttle: a hotel near the airport, shuttle times confirmed in advance. After 22:48 there is no express train, so plan a night bus or taxi.
